So, I figured that we should have a thread where we can post what we did for the New Year as well as our hopes, ambitions and resolutions for 2007. Unfortunately, this New Year’s night, my wife had to work, so I stayed in, drinking by myself, in front of my computer listening to Simon and Garfunkel. But, hey, that can be fun too. I did, however, manage to get myself pulled over by the cops. I’ve had a broken taillight for 3 months and though that is usually not an issue, I guess swerving within the lane on New Year’s night with a broken taillight was not a good idea. Thankfully, I did not get a ticket for two reasons… 1.) Some people tend to find themselves wearing lampshades after drinking seven beers. I, on the other hand, use seven beers just to brush my teeth. Tolerance FTW! 2.) Because Richmond is ranked 5th in the country for violent crime, unless you have just robbed a bank and are driving on the sidewalk and shooting an illegal gun out the car window while an underage hooker gives you a blow job while injecting you with heroin, the cops tend to have more pressing issues on their minds. My resolution is to quit smoking cigarettes by January 15th. I have been smoking daily for ten years, and I think that it is finally time I quit. I can’t believe that I started out smoking a few cigarettes a day at 14, and now, at 24, I am a heavy, pack and a half a day, smoker. I’m really scared about quitting. I know that it is going to be rough as shit. However, I need, and want, to quit. If I can offer one piece of advice, don't ever start smoking. It has been shown that nicotine is as addictive to the human body as heroin. Smoking will only leave you spending a lot of money each month and smelling like an old redneck bar. Hmm, my new years resolution? Work out more...I wanna be able to bench-press 220. and bike some more. maybe 12 miles a week, of course that'll start in spring. | ||

Well tonight I went out to eat at my Uncles restaurant. We ate $250 worth of food for free. There was a candle at the table and I reached over to get some bread and my whole sleeve caught fire. I quickly shook it off without hesitation and continued eating. My mom screamed like "OMG!" so I just laughed it off and slapped the bitch in the face. Well, not really but she wouldn't calm down. It's like she's never seen fire before. Last week in the woods me and some friends saw that people had a cooler, some plastic lawn chairs and a firepit. We started the fire and naturally, we threw the chairs and cooler in. It was amazingly huge. I guess that's payback for ya, even though a little fire never hurts. Tonight around midnight me and a friend where kind of fucked up so we went up to Dunkin Donuts. His indian "friend" hooked us up with free munchkins. Then we walked back and went our seperate ways. Then I played cs and actually kept a positive ratio. |

same as kevin...i get too tired in hockey too quickly(liek 2 shifts and im done XP)..im out of same...i now know the exercises(but im you do them..dont do it the length of a parking lot...im you want to walk for the next few days)..so ill do that stuff and run or something | ||

Tonight I had a lan party didnt drink much but I had a lot of caffine. All kinda fun. As for reslutions none come to mind lol. |

Party, probably going to ask a girl out that was there. NO DRINKING  i was so fucking pissed. i haven't drank for like 3-4 months.resolution: I GUESS if i fucking have to... do my schoolwork that I'm like 2 months late on doing so that i might get 1/2 credit. I doubt I'm going to though, but i really don't want a failing mark. |

hmm well considering its 6 am and i just woke up after going to bed at 10 and completely missing the ball drop, all the festivities, and about 6 missed calls on my cell phone that i left downstairs, i didnt do much. i did however, sleep %100 naked, and man was it fantastic. on a lighter note, i went to the emergency room yesterday only to find out that i have a collapsed lung, so ive been having excruciating chest pains the past 3 days, which has kept me from wanting to do anything really. i must say, the past few days' heart attack-like pain has spurred me to quit smoaking as well, and considering im only 19 and i just started last year, now seems like the perfect time to quit. now if i can just stick to my word... I went to an epic party up in NH with a 2 - 1 girl to guy ratio (girls being the 2 in case you were wondering), downed a 12 pack of heineken in 2 1/2 hours then played beruit for the rest of the night. My friend got in a fight with a ceiling fan, which knocked him out cold. set off some fireworks in the backyard and nearly set the roof on fire. Then somebody pulled out their airsoft gun and from there on it was a mexican standoff. after we all lost an eye, some drama took place, but was quickly settled when two beer bottles were smashed over someones head. I'd like to tell you more but I honestly cant remember anything else. When I woke up somebody had sprayed confetti allllllll over the house (which sucked cause I was one of the people on cleanup duty) and apparently someone had run over my head with a steamroller and got away, cause I didn't see one parked in the driveway. amazingly everyone managed to hold their beer and no-one puked, which is an amazing accomplishment considering the five full trashbags of empty cans. Needless to say everyone was whispering this morning as we shuffled around the house like zombies pushing brooms in front of us to clean up all the damned confetti, while avoiding the motionless bodies on the floor. I've taken a vow to never drink again (this week) and only smoke for a while, cause I'll puke on sight of another beer. My resolution this year is to get back into biking. I used to ride at least 10 miles a day but since I've had my car, I've been doing it less and less, and it's about time I started getting serious about working out again. |
