Has anyone else seen them movie 23. If you haven't you should it is freaken sweet. I don't recommend it if you are of one those people that are obsessed though. It is a movie about someone who is haunted by the number 23 because it has all kinda weird meanings. There is plenty of people that acully fear this number. The earth tilts at 23 degrees. The real tilt is 23.5 degrees but 5 is 2+3. If you divide 2 by 3 you get .6666666666666666666666 The book of revelations has 22 chapters and we know how 23 would go. There are a lot of these type of things. It is kinda like the number 13 it has a certain quality that people are attracted to. Of course once you pick your target number you can find all kinda weird and fun stuff with it. Like I turned on my care at 11:23. On my way home I only looked at my clock once when I changed my mirror due to a guy with his high beams on it was 11:32. 32 is 23 backwards. Personally I kinda made a game of it seeing how things can relate to the number 23 on my way home. It was quite interesting. This is going to bug me all week I am sure but hey when i went to type this there were 23 people on FTC. I ended up with 3 windows opened of topics of interest but 2 were 1 pages long. Who knows maybe the number is hunting me and soon after reading this it will go after you . LOL anyway the movie was neat you should check it out even if you aren't afraid of 23 because the plot is great and it has a interesting twist at the end. After posing this I realized this is topic 689 in this forums. If you take 6 from 8 and 9 you get 23. Freaky isn't it. Edited Tue Mar 06 2007, 05:10AM |

Thanks pocky, I wanted to see it, but a bunch of my friends said it blew. Prolly gonna see 300 then sneak into 23 this weekend =P | ||

300 divided by 23 = 13.04,,, what I don't get is how elevators don't have a 13th floor and the people on the 14th floor don't realize that they are actually on the 13th, lol, noobs. 23 is a movie that people with OCD should stay away from, lol. 300 looks bomb though. | ||

I seen it already and after hearing and seeing 23 over and over again I began to laugh at it's shallow plot. It wasn't a very well written movie but it does make you think. After I was done with the movie I seen that I got my ticket at 7:23:23. Not to mention I went to a restaurant and my check was number 666. Haha, there was a lot of creepy happenings afterwards but you'll get over it within a day. However, I agree with the critics on this movie, it's not that great. It's just another flick. | ||

Night of course you realize things like that if your looking for them. In reality if you have any number or anything you can link it to just about any other thing with enough thinking. I just think it is fun. Also I think it is a good movie to watch a few times not over and over and over again. It is definatly very good the first time though but your right it probably isn't half as good the second or third time. Then again I like weird stuff so who knows maybe it is just me being weird again lol. Also 300 dose look good but that isn't till Friday. |

Nostie: Warning, plot points are given away in this criticism I should have rephrased how I said it. I meant to say after seeing 23 overused in the movie over and over again, I got sick of it after a while. Of course it's to show off his obsession with the number but it did get annoying in the end. Not to mention the obession with the number had nothing to do with his murder. And everything that brought him up to that realization in the end felt like it was just put together really quick and it doesn't appeal to me. Not to mention that it took me a while to think about the ending and what it really meant. And the ending itsself was kind of stupid. Yeah, he did the right thing but it would have been quicker had he just let the bus hit him and end it all. I also forgot to point out how he was the bad ass in the movie and Jim Carrey just doesn't fit that part well. And I had to laugh my ass off when I seen him without his shirt on and the fact that he had bitch titties  Even though Jim Carrey is an excellent actor, I don't think playing the part of a psychological thriller is really his bag. Comedy is what he was made for because even though this was a serious movie he still managed to make me laugh. Like I said, acting in this kind of movie is not his type of movie.

Gah. spoiler ftl. I'm goign to use the spoiler tag on you zzz I saw it, but i felt no attachment to the characters. too much attention was put on the number, and not enough on the character. Good twists mean nothing if the characters mean nothing to you. 2.5/5 stars |

I didn't spoil the movie, I just basically warned how bad it is so that people won't waste 8.50 or however much they spend going to see it. It's not worth watching for that much. Wait for it to come on PPV because it's going to be there real soon. | ||
