A lot of the names mentioned in this thread were my favorites a few years back - classic songs that I'll listen to any time. I'm not sure if Dave Matthews would be included... he blew up around '93-'94, and I've been addicted. Since I could interpret the wavelengths of music I've payed attention to what my parents listened to (PJ, RHCP, Foo Fighters, Pumpkins, etc...) and I've grown accustomed to hearing it... and developed a liking for it. But for some reason Dave stands out when I think of music I want to hear... it's more Jazz-like, and relaxing in my opinion. Very good tribute to PJ (maybe you should add a live vid?) |

I forgot to mention before, but I wonder if anyone else here listens to Faith No More, another 90's band, although more hard rock. One forum I frequent had a topic about the best album ever, and while there were mentions of all the great bands, Angel Dust by Faith No More received the most nods. I checked it out, and it's pretty great. After a bit of listening, I was sold. |
