Guys, i posted this on the last post of the giant thread and it didnt seem to do it justice. I added DA to FT again without permission. I want to start a full rotation server that is pert of FT again. I dont know if any of you remember Digital Anarchy back in the day, but it shared the website with FT. Digital Anarchy was a 24 player server I hosted on my dedicated server I rented. It was my favorite of all of my servers, because I didnt have to worry about admining, because the server was setup to run itself. Votekick at 51%, and voteban at 66% for a 20 minute ban. The voting system is very free, and allows people to change to the map they want at 51% of people votemaping. The tk punishment can be severe, or forgiving depending on the person. All maps are available, and 1 custom will join per month. I planned on upgrading to 20 players in a few days. I really want to make this server, because we all know the clock in office says 6:06. I feel like after 4 years of being mainly 247 office, we could add a server, a full rotation. I still play on office because my friends are there in FT. I hope that DA and the server that Rim has made into DA with me can be accepted by FT members. I want to be part of FT, to add to the clan, to add to the website, and to diversify the type of maps in FT servers rotation. My proposal is this: DA gets enstated into FT website, and clan. [DA] will be worn as a non exclusive tag, meaning [FT] you could also wear. [FT] would come first, and [DA] will be at the end of the name. The DA forums will be only visible to DA members so that there doesnt have to be controversy over forum content. DA would be required to respect the rules of other servers, and the website. I personally will work with any OP that says a DA member is misbehaving in another FT server, and take action based on FT punishment rules, not DA rules. DA overflow goes to the least popular FT server at the time. Ive put everything I have into this clan, but wont add DA without all of your permission. If for nobody else, do it for me, please. Thanks Krem for being mature enough to varify this in more mature terms. However, I see that you had said that the "rules" also applied there. I thought that the whole intent of the server was to "Do whatever the hell you wanted." As Nostie and Rim had pointed out. If you mean that if a member of your server meets the FT requirements at 100 hours and 30 posts, and then plays in one of our servers acting like a douche considering that's the rules that he thought applied, then I'm not sure how to respond to that because there are tougher admins then myself that won't deal with it. However, thanks again for clarifying this and now I'm not as much against it as I was. |

I'm all for DA staying as a part of the entire community. You have to look at this of the stand point of the past. This server is NOT "do waht ever the hell you want". There are just no rules. That means all that is left is common sense and game play in its purest intent. It's common sense that if you are being an asshole to somebody, you get punished. Therefore there ARE some rules in a sort of sense. | ||

It means no rules on our server, but we are subject to the other servers rules whatever they are when we are there. DA would be better described as 'no rules, just mature'-- if people are banning and taking out personal grudges, being dicks, thats not the goal of DA and I would work with any other server admins to solve that problem. I would also be willing to subject all DA members to have 100 hours on FT servers to join DA, and all DA members have to first be members on the forums. |

Night, i think what he was trying to say was: You can do whatever you want on DA, but when you get onto the other FT servers, you're expected to act according to their rules. Failure to do so will have punishment for DA members. | ||

Now that you have publicly informed us your intentions I'm sure others will find it easier to accept the idea. Maybe "Do what ever you want" wasn't the best idea but i understood it as use your own common sense. I'm sure if [DA] doesn't burden [FT] people will let you do the good you can do. |

Kermit if it is like the old DA servers then i am sure it wont be a problem but the way rim describes it seems more like abuse to random players then just a server that runs itself. I guess I want to know for sure that this is going to be like the old ones and not as he described in his comment where people can TK and whatever they want but if someone complains to admin they get abused. I don't mind if you just don't push any rules but abusing people for complaining seems a little exstream to me. I would like a good honest answer to this one if you are acully going to punish people who complain about being TKed a lot and similar things? Also more notice would be nice next time lol. |
