Im sure all of you saw the DA VINCI CODE the movie. Well, not all, but I did. In the movie, a device called a CRYPTEX was used. -[link]- The cryptex was like a pad lock, with a document inside. If you try to force it open without the right pad lock combo, a vile of vinegar breaks open and destroys the enclosed message. I just wanted to show out how much of a FUCKING RETARDED idea this is. Ill give you all one clue, the freezing point of vinegar is about 24 degrees F. Take a fucking guess how to get that document out. |

well the device he is claiming to have been made by de Vinchi so it stands to reason that it wasn't invented with our climet control in mind. Your right though the charictor is a dumbass for not just putting it in a freezer and then smashing it open. | ||

Throwing a cryptex in the freezer for 3 hours then getting out you hammer makes for a boring book though (book was way better than the movie hands down). | ||

I really liked the movie. When the guy does the whipping, didn't really want to see that much but in end it was a good movie. | ||

I only read Angels & Demons which I thought was awesome. I passed on the Da Vinci Code because it had become too "mainstream". I read books because they're good not because everyone else is doing it. Didn't see the movie either. |

thats so true kremit. you really think they would want to throw the document in the freezer? thats bound to fuck up somthing wiht the locking mechanism. and maybe theres a safe fail thing that totally locks it up if the vinega ris frozen(hey you never know =P). | ||
