He explained it ok. The first part is about keeping your computer safe. The second part is about helping the website speed. @ Goose: The smaller the image size the less time it takes for this site to load it, therefore increasing the load time on pages containing avatars (forums). |

I got a question about website speed, while we are on topic. (I use IE7, fyi) I noticed that when I click onto the site, usually its the menu that is the last thing to load (server map pics are 2nd last). I have the password & name saved by checking the 'remember me' box. So when I click onto the site, the menu and its 8 sections slows down page loading more than anything else. (Just an observation based on 'what pops up when') I tried this,,, I logged off of my account and came to the site as a guest. The guest menu is considerably smaller (by a few features) than the members menu and I was able to load pages 2 to 3 times faster. Can someone else try this to varify the results, and post what browser they use? Thanx. | ||
