Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.
Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Some people know I've had a dedicated server that hasn't done much of anything for the past several months. I had been using it as a test/development server for various scripts as well as a fun place to just eff around and have fun. I've been working on getting the Zombie Horde plugin (completely different than our existing Infection server!!!) going for a while and it finally appears ready for public testing at this time. The IP/port is: 64.83.52.226:27015 There were lots of problems with server stability last month, and my thanks go out to a few FT's and other members of our community (Twitch, Goose, Fetus, Kalibur, and of course, Kever!) that helped even when things looked grim. I'm pleased to say that the stability issues appear to have been resolved for a few weeks and there are no outstanding, major problems with the server. I want to clearly state that this is a test server at this point, and is not officially an FT server. I have some FT-related adverts on the server/MOTD but the success of this server will depend on community acceptance and support. Please be candid in your thoughts about this potential FT server. Anyway, here is some general information: 1. Rules I think a decent set of guidelines is available through the MOTD: http://fux0r.org/motd-zh/ There is some useful information about ZH in there too, under the "Tips" section. Also, thanks to kddude for that graphic. 2. Stats The latest beta version of Psychostats3 is working here: http://fux0r.org/pstats7/ I may go with a regular, old-fashioned 2.x pstats site but I'm not sure how much people will really care about stats for this server. I'm also considering an HLstatsX site, separate of FT Classic, if ZH actually launches as an FT franchise. Mani statsme/rank/session stats are live, and all stats will be reset if the server actually launches under the FT banner. 3. Maps There is mostly a mixture of stock maps with a few customs in the cycle now. The customs are: zh_laststand_final (raise to the roof!) de_summernightsd2 (creepy dust2 remake) If anyone knows of any decent customs suited for ZH then please let me know. I'm not going to switch to a full custom cycle but if there are some good ones in there (preferably with ZH/RAC anti-camp points already set!) then I appreciate suggestions. 4. Admins Not very many people are set as admins right now and I don't see as much of a demand for admins on ZH as FTC, for instance. If you're interested in helping then please let me know, but if you're not interested in giving ZH a try UNLESS you have admin then kindly move on. Obviously I will need help but I prefer a more subtle approach to admin appointments. 5. ZH-specific Settings There are lots of configurable options for ZH. Here are some notable ones, and I think we'll have to tweak them as we go on testing: - Model movement speed / health: Zombies and Humans can have different settings depending on skin. Obviously a class based set of specs for zombies makes the game more interesting (less hardy, quicker zombies vs. slower "tank"-type zombies) but I'm not sure about the same being true for humans. Any thoughts on whether certain human/player models should have different movement speed and health? - Weapon-based Movement Speed: I believe it is reasonable that players move more slowly with the AWP, para, etc. but by what degree? It is configurable on a per-weapon basis and I'll need some suggestions on what may be appropriate for each weapon. Please consider the overall fairness of certain weapon movement speeds before you make suggestions, and not just your personal preference... - Various Other Settings: zombie health regen rates, "burning touch" by charple zombies, etc. You'll find them out soon enough if you play but they are relatively minor right now in my opinion. If, however, you see something you absolutely do not like then let me know and we can try to determine if it needs to be disabled/modified/etc. That's about all I can think of right now. Please give the server a try and let me know what you like and do not like. Thanks! |

Yeah, zombie horde is much better then zombie infection in my opinion. I'll help test, like kali has asked me. |

the zombies are bots, and you have to kill them off. certain zombies are faster, but have less health. other zombies are slow, but have more health, just like alex was sayin. it's pretty fun, i wish one server could run both infection and horde (easily). but two that we own is damn near close enough! looking forward to it. |

Hmm, guess a bit of general information about ZH would be helpful, Canoob? Basically it goes like this: bot zombies (and possibly a few human CS:S players playing as zombies) chase humans around with knives and try to kill them. The human players have guns which may sound simple enough to kill off the zombies, but the zombies have copious amounts of health and they are also able to both respawn mid round (with less health) as well as regenerate a certain amount of health per second. The maps are dark and creepy, and the bots are surprisingly crafty when it comes to setting up flanks on human players. Anyways, that's a quick explanation but there are many nuances that you must experience for yourself! |

i was there testing with kali and twitch and kever one day, and then the ip disappeared off my list... but yeah. it was fun. ill definately be there and id love to help out. |

I checked it out for a little while earlier tonight with goose and alex and rusty and it was lots of fun even though my internet kept cutting out for some gay reason but anyways it was lots of fun and as alex said the zombies are actually pretty crafty at flanking and waiting only thing is their aim sux at times but you still gotta be careful to not get flanked | ||
