Gazprom is Russia's ExxonMobil equivalent.
Boasting $83 billion in profits in 2006, world's largest gas produer, owns a major bank, TV stations, and professional soccer team.
That's not the best part though.
The Duma, or lower parliamentary house in Russia, approved Gazprom's request to arm and maintain their own security force.
Reports are suggesting thousands of troops (ex-army) armed with machine guns (automatic weapons) and anti-riot gear.
It gets better.
Dmitry Medvedev, the president of Gazprom AND Russia's deputy prime minister is going to be the next (supposed) Putin's successor.
What's better? Putin is going to take over Gazprom when he steps down (supposed)

That is the equivalent of Bush approving an ExxonMobile "private security" (personal army) before 2008, then becoming CEO of it.

all i think is that. at this very moment we are not locked up in gas rooms or cages. so yeah you might hate me for saying this but i think we are as free as it'll get.

This worries me. Anytime I see petroleum companies coming to power like this, it really scares me. I think alot about petroleum and whats going to happen when we run out. Seeing the build-up of forces like this worries me.

I can't even drive my car without thinking of the waste Americans use petroleum on. Our entire system is flawed.

I like the sound of that, I mean, hey, you can get a room where if you have enough sex, may create steam, from sweat and heat, but a cold ground or something. So you can create both forms of energy, all while getting off, pretty sweet!
