| Does my CS:S Setup fail at life? | ||

I have a feeling that my setup kind of prohibits my accuracy. I use right-click to run instead of the usual W, and when shooting, I have 1 finger on left click. Apparently many people use 2 fingers. My W key does absolutely nothing. Does anyone else use this setup, or am I on my own here? Thinking about switching back to W, though I set it to right-click in almost every game I play (feels more natural, but I suppose I could get used to W). Also, besides my CL_Crosshairscale being set to 9000, I have everything else default. I see many people change 'rates' and other stuff like that. w = forward run a,s,d,= run in other directions right click = duck left click = shoot cl_cmdrate 101 cl_updaterate 100 rate 25000 cl_crosshairscale = 5000 and this delivers pure pwnage wu, no more failing @ cs:s. cl_cmdrate 101 cl_updaterate 100 rate 25000 * also how sensitive ur mouse is pretty important aiming wise. i use 2.8 on a deathaddermouse set @ 10. one of my friends who plays on FT from time to time (Renegadepunk) uses a setup where hold left click is run, right click is fire, and Z,X,C, shift, CTRL. F and a few others keys do all his other stuff. its hella confusing

forward = up arrow back = down arrow strafe left = left arrow strafe right = right arrow fire - left click scope/second function - right click previous weapon - mouse 4 jump - wheel button crouch - Rctrl walk - Rshift HLSS - delete use - end drop gun - page down spray - insert Scoreboard - backspace rebuy previous - alt reload - Numpad 0 Mic - Mouse 5 These are ALL my controls Crosshair is at smallest in transparent blue cl_updaterate is 80 cl_cmdrate is 100 rate is 30000 This = im the best |

I use Mouse 4 (a side mouse button) for ALT fire. Easy placement for my thumb. What do updaterate and cmdrate do? thank youu |

F1-F12 are my buy binds. My number keys are HLSS songs Kill Bind and Quotes 2.5 sensativity at 2000 dpi with slower then default windows mouse setting. ( I can barely do a 360 degree angle using my entire 10 inch mousepad) cL_crosshairscale 9999 Green Crosshairs non transparent cl_crosshairusealpha 0 cl_crosshairalpha 9999 cl_cmdrate 100 cl_updaterate 100 rate 25000 WASD = natural for me. Easy to type stuff compared to up left down right arrow keys. E = Use T = Spray Del = Hlss Control = Crouch Capslock = Vent Tab = Score Mouse wheel = jump F = Switch weapons. Alot easier picking up weapons for me. G = Flashlight The numbers right above my letters are.. 1 = Primary 2= pistol 3= knife 4= flashbang 5= hegrenade 6= smokegrenade etc etc. Insert = 4, + = 0, home = 6 etc. Oh and left click = fire, right click = secondary fire.
