OK first off, imdb gave this a 7.7/10 so I figured I would download it off of my favorite tracker. WHAT A MISTAKE! The following is my little pissed off write up about the movie. If you still want to watch it go ahead and skip my little "spoiler" below. TRUST ME THOUGH, IT WAS DUMB! This town had a military base up in the mountains and they did all kinds of crazy experiements (you don't find this out until about 60 or so percent through the movie). They managed to open a portal to another dimension and it leaked into our world. the things that were leakedi n were like huge bugs and stuff like that. so all these people held up in a supermarket and this one lady started preaching that it was gods way, this and that. she got a bunch of people to follow her dumb ways and they killed an army guy that happened to be in the store. a group of about 8 decided, shit we need to peace out before this crazy bitch gets her crazy followers to sacrifice us because we don't believe in her dumb bullshit. so they managed to get out of the supermarket and get to the main characters car (along with his young son who was about 10 or so). they drive as far as they can until the gas runs out but the creatures are still all around them. so at this point they have 5 people left, 2 old people, a young semi hot bitch, the main character and his son. they had a pistol they used in hte supermarket to defend themselves from the huge bugs/monsters, they had 4 bullets left. so tehy all decide to use them on themselves... the main character shoots everyone including his son but has no more bullets to kill himself. he steps outside and begins screaming very loudly so the bugs will come and kill him. he hears something loud and it puts you into a state of thought of "oh here comes a big one to finish him off!" but nope, its a fucking army tank... the army defeated teh bugs/monsters and the world was alright. hey man i feel sorry for you. i just read the book last night, and it was nowhere near that bad. actually one of stephen king's better stories in my opinion. that movie sounds like a fucking abortion. the dad got fucking OWNED in the movie though, apparently. in the book he's just a whiny cunt. |

This is a really really really good movie in my opinion. The ending is AMAZING. I just LOVE Stephen's twist. It owns you, so get out. |

Yeah the movie did suck. I saw it in theaters. The whole damn movie took place in a supermarket. |

It's funny, but one of my favorite themes in movies is children/preggo women getting murdered. However, the Mist and AVPR, which had one or both of those requirements, blew hard nuts. I don't understand it. | ||

I must say the ending is a nice twist, but overall, the movie generally seems like it should have been debuted on TV rather than in theaters... | ||
