I was a hardcore paintballer... for two years (and yes omega bob long pwns face). but like everyone else here has said, paint is too damn expensive. forget the gun, that's the cheap part. I was spending a minimum of 40$ on paint alone per outing at paintball (and I was a conservative shooter, and I always bought the no name discount paint). If you are srsly considering a DM 8 you prolly go through wayyy more paint than I ever did. Trust me the gun is the least expansive part of paintball. You're better off getting an airsoft gun. they're cheaper, look way better, and the best part is the ammo is cheap as shit. But hey that's just my opinion. I look at it this way... all of my friends that have gotten MAJORLY into paintballing, like sponsored and shit, have told me "waste of money, not a waste of time. I loved every minute of it, but that $3000 went pretty fast..." I wouldnt even have a choice between an XPS and WHATEVER the fuck gun you want. The gun doesnt even matter... to me anyways. Its paintball, you could go from the ground up and from $600-$800 you could have an insane gun. Go with the fucking laptop man. Its not just about being social, its about doing the smart thing. Waste your money on an expensive gun, and stop playing in two years. I dont care. |
