What could possibly be the circumstance at hand that brings a person to the point in which they abandon their resolve. Our hopes and dreams are things that should be held onto and defended to no ends. Regardless of circumstances one might have no purpose if it were not for their resolve.
Influence goes a long way, but when and where is the line between influence and complete disregard for beliefs.

If we were to give up completely on our hopes and dreams then would we not just find ourselves living a life without purpose? A life without reason? We always strive for greater things, regardless of if we notice we do or not.
Knowing that, would someone really put nothing above their resolves? No I answer, for if you consider it deeply, at times of great peril, and at times of great weakness we find ourselves looking for a way out. By any means we would rather shield ourselves from the onslaught at hand rather than defend that in which we believe in.

I'm not saying this goes for everyone, because surely there are people who will disagree with my observations. I'm still standing firm to the thought that no matter what, we should keep our hopes, dreams, beliefs, resolves, and everything that falls in the similarity of those concepts a top priority in our lives.

Is a life without hope, a life without dreams and ambitions really worth living? I find it's not, for a life without purpose is a life being driven by the ever consuming expectations of our elders.

Run if you must fro your demons.
Just don't let your beliefs fall in the process.
