Here, for anyone that worships them, let me ask you a question: Have you ever seen them play live? No? Want to know why? Because that's not their real skill, that's why. Everything's done electronically. So much for their "Real skills". Yes, they are talented even live, but they are no where near what they are in that video. You want real guitar? Listen to Kirk Hammit, Hendrix, or Joe Walsh, not those twats. |

no offense, I am a somewhat decent guitarist, ask people who've heard here, and seriously, you left out one of the top two, if not the greatest guitarist, SRV. ANd I'm sure you would also know about Santana, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page. Or maybe 50 other much better guitarists than Kirk, although he is good. and as for fantasy metal, listen to Dream Theater, there is a band with too much talent, especially their drummer. |

Rusty, I didnt say kirk was the best guitarist of all time (although i would say hes leagues beyond Page, Clapton, or Beck), im saying he is my favorite guitarist of all time. i would say SRV and kirk are at about the same level of actual skill, but its a tough comparison, because of there musical differences no guitarist will ever shine a light on hammet in my mind though, he is my favorite, and IMO the greatest, although "greatest" is very subjective | ||

haha, I wouldn't put krik on a top 20 list, actually, I'd put Prince before him, but also, please look at the rolling stones list, it has Kurt Cobain on it, he sucked at guitar, I can play a level beyond him. Also, the one area I compare these guys to each other personally is getting a hold of their classical skills, on a classical acoustic. So the music I judge them by is the same. ps night, I love Joe Walsh, and the Eagles were nothing without him. And neither was Joe Dirt, lol. Edited Wed Apr 30 2008, 03:27AM |
