Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Electronica is sort of vague, but I think I know what you mean. My experience of discussing "electronica" with people who do not have an affinity towards synthesized music think I'm talking about 70's and 80's bands like Kraftwerk or similar. Not bad bands, but a very limited representation of a general type of music with many contemporary nuances. I prefer electronic music that has elements of the acid house/dance, industrial-rock, and techno-industrial genres. Ambient music is great to listen to while working, but I find it difficult to sit and actively listen to it. These are not the only types of music I enjoy but they cover most of it. Sort of a tangent, but does anyone else really enjoy lots of voice samples from TV and movies in music? This is mostly exclusive to industrial music, and if I recall correctly, was (mostly) inspired by William S. Burroughs' "cut-up method." EDIT: I think I had a good idea of editing this, but now I can't remember why. Strangely enough, I'm going to submit this edit. Edited Sun Aug 06 2006, 08:13AM |

Cool you guys all like electronic, but I'm surprised no one said anything about trip-hop/downtempo. I didn't think it was popular, but I thought the guys around here would know about it. You guys really should try it out, Massive attack, Portishead. | ||
