Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.
Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.
Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Dearest Fish Tank Community: I write to you as a fellow clan member of 2 years and as a friend. This letter serves as an update as to the state of the state and overall direction of the FT community in general. As some of you are aware, this clan has suffered some setbacks in recent memory. We’ve had some internal disputes both public and private from everything about accusations of hacking, admin abuse, general disrespect towards and unfair treatment of clan members among other issues. Obviously this hasn’t been the funnest time to be an FT member. The dual run at competitive teams this past CAL season did a lot more damage than it did good, of which I’m at as much fault as anyone... First, it took over 15 active members who populated our servers and tied their hands. It created a natural rift of competition between some of our most influential members. It also created an underlying emphasis throughout the community on “being good” rather than “having fun”. This has caused another rift in the community between casual gamer and those aspiring for more. All of these competing dynamics has created a lot of stress and tension. But when looking at the situation, this is expected. All of this came directly on the eve of our long standing server owner who need not be named, having left the clan out of what appeared to be (in my estimate) frustration. While his exit was very polite and professional, it was obvious that there were both internal and external conflicts he was dealing with. Combine this with the seasonal drop off in connections and the switch to a new server and you have a recipe for clan disaster. So now what? Well honestly you have the same decision you’ve always had. Do whatever you want to do. This is the internet. No one is forcing you to be here. You come here, I presume, under your own free will possibly because, I dare say, you want to be here. Let me be clear in this next statement because it’s my most important. If you do not want to be a part of this community, then this community does not want you to be a part of it. We don't need and have no use for people who don't want to be here. It’s really that simple. This community has been around for a long time. It will continue to be around for a long time, with or without you. I’m sorry if this is a bit of a harsh reality (think “You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake.”-Tyler Durden) but it is what it is. This clan has always had a very loose and flexible structure, spanning many games, platforms, cultures and interests. There’s no agenda here other than to play the games you enjoy and have fun. This format is what has lead FT to the level it’s at (almost 1000 registered forum members and at the time of writing this over 70 active clan members). And this format is what will continue to allow us to prosper. If you truly want to be here, then I for one along with many others want you here. Even if we’ve had personal disagreements or if you’ve had disagreements with other people who want to be here in the past. Don’t let that affect your decisions, don’t let emotion cloud your judgment. Take everything with a grain of salt and know that we have a common interest, in the continued success of this community. I suggest we all take a deep breath, evaluate what it is we want in a community and then decide for ourselves if FT fits that picture. Also I cannot emphasize enough the need for patience. We’re going through a tough time… but it won’t last. There are still many (many more than don’t) people who care about this community and won’t let it just disappear by the wayside. We need to let the dust settle first and determine who wants to be here before we do anything else. Nothing need be done now, other than to ask yourself. “Is this community something I care about? Do I want to be here?” Your feedback, thoughts and comments are as always welcomed and encouraged. Speak freely, there is no blame to be cast here. Thank you for your time. Kindly, [FT]NoSkill Edited Tue Jul 01 2008, 03:39PM |

I'll be here till I can't anymore. this community has meant a lot to me for something online, and I love helping out people with problems, and love helping run the surf server, although I haven't been around much lately due to personal shit. But like I said, I'll be back, and atleast surf will have me back on teh server (since I don't play office ) and be much more active on the forums again! |

Thank you Rusty an Ruskiy and Cookie it's your decision to make. I want to make it very clear that there is to be no blame casting or criticisms of anyone's decisions here. People are free to do as they wish. That's what makes this community great, and when you have a solid, unified group of people CHOOSING to further the success of the group... that's something special. |

I don't dislike the community, it just isn't the same. After putting so much effort just to fit in and have fun, everything started to change. It isn't what I worked for, or what I wanted to be a part of. I love everyone here... it's the random BS that happens from time to time, even though we can't help it. It still changes everything. Constant bitching and complaining to other players and servers. Don't get me wrong, I love the community. Even though it has it's rough spots(nothing can be perfect). I just feel that it isn't right. I mean, When FT started to play competitively, the game play level went from just having fun to seeing who is best, what team is better, and people having the "I'm here to win" attitude. This changed how everyone got along. Fortunately, we have all had our good times, and still are. It's good that we are dedicated to have all of this happen, our servers, community and the people we meet. But, sometimes you wonder. Will this last forever? Obviously not. Needless to say, I'm in it for the long haul. I've been here though the ups and downs a few times before, its a matter of weathering the storm and knowing that the clouds will always clear up. Given that it is FTC's 3rd Year Anniversary today, I say that we hop on Office tonight and keep it jam packed until the wee morning hours. Grab some beers or some Js and lets rage. |
