Let me start this out without beating around the bush: This is an indirect way of calling out the Lead Admins. Since it doesn't seem like you guys are doing much of anything right now (unless we grumps bitch about it), I will ask some of our regulars to help out. And if you're going to retort to me, let me point out that Glitch is the only one that has more playtime than I do, and I warned you all I wouldn't be able to play much at all. I inquired about getting YOU guys to do it since I couldn't. So, where are ya guys? I have noticed there are zero people from the GO server signing up for our forums. None. Zip. Nada. We have been full around the evening on a consistent daily basis. Where are the recruits? Is anyone not advertising at all? I'm looking at not only the LA's, but the admins. Your job is more than just keeping the server running fluently. Advertise. Get people on our forums and salivating at joining our wonderful community. Since we cannot rely on three people to run things, it eventually will trickle down to those of you who actually do play in the server. Please get people on the forums. This is the most important time for our community because the game is brand spankin' new. What happens when the game loses its flavor? There will be nobody but a few members here are there, and I can tell you that most of you are NOT willing to sit in the server to populate it when it's empty. |

getting a "college" computer soon, ill recruit the shit out of people after I start playing. All joking aside, I haveeeee seen more regulars from the dawn of time come around, even if it's sitting in the main part of our forums. Do you think we possibly need to spice it up around here? I used to remember wanted to come on the forums becuase it was hilarious and kept me entertained for hours, when there werent a lot of people on the servers. not a lot of higher ups posting anymore unless it's about how you wipe your ass or admins talking admin talk. Just suggestions, recruiting and advertising is fine, but how are we going to keep our fanbase? |

I havent been around since Wednesday because i was house sitting with my girlfriend at her house (no computer to play which blows) and also enjoying what is left of my summer with nothing but bars and BBQs. Aside from that, only a couple days before i had no PC i was granted Admin not to mention learning how to use SM. When im in the server playing i do indeed advertise the forums and tell people to come back and all that jazz. I can only do so much with that though as you already know. I cannot force people to come here. I do however see a lot of familiar faces in the server and do get messages from random people saying hi. Also, lead admins, from my understanding, are people who do in fact get shit done. We are the "go to" people for issues regarding the clan and from what i have been experiencing lately, there are indeed no issues. Nobody has come to me about anything serious and forums when i check them are all in order. I delete spam when i see it and move threads when people create them in wrong places. The only issue we have had with the clan thus far is the whole "vote discussion" thingy. That is not my responsibility to make better the system since i personally feel it is not too shabby. That power is left up to the clan as a whole so until clan members decide there is something better, i will sit back, keep the peace, talk to people and enjoy the game, all while making sure the clan rules are followed. LA's were called out by Alex about the MoTD not being done or put together right away. Ironically, we couldnt even get an MoTD to work until that very same day. I dont care honestly, as we had the regulations set up within 48 hours... but as LA's we do not have to sit, think up scenarios, and create rules and regulations all day (aside from the mandatory server rules and regs). That is not our job as far as i am concerned. I will take requests from people. I will review demo's. I will make sure clan rules are followed. I will advertise when i am playing (as i always do with some comical gestures), and I will keep the forums organized and civil. That is my job. I get messages here and there from clan members about small issues and I always take care of them. No complaints on my end. Also, i know this thread isnt an attack against anyone Mark... i just felt like i needed to put this out there for everyone to see what we 3 Amigo's do. If my understanding is "off" about what an LA in FT actually is, then please educate me. I always thought FT was a self-driven community. Edited Mon Aug 27 2012, 09:30PM |

I remember I used to come to the forums all of the time because of the amazingly hilarious posts that I could always expect from members like Alex, Aborted Fetus, Bubble Goose, and the always funny Wu-Banga with his hopefully fictional incest stories and other stories. I would come to the site/forums because of the awesome banter in game from members and the welcoming nature of the members. So just be awesome and nice...do things like backhall nades and hiding in cabinets to knife people and just build camaraderie and people will come. | ||

I have gotten a few people interested in the site. Xico (the p90 whore) is one of them, and he has registered but not posted yet. I've talked to studmuffin (another regular) about coming to the site but I'm not sure if that happened. It's happening. Slowly but surely. Once everyone can get on the server things will pick up. I've gotten a lot of people (Xico included) that have mentioned now many FTers and/or Admins have been online. That mildly concerns me, but I think a lot of people just have stuff going on right now. |

Lead admin on the server has everything to do with the server, and not as much to do with the forums. I understand your responsibilities to the forums too, but I think Knight is calling everyone out server side more than here, because like you said, things here seem to be going well. There has been a ton of discussion about certain things for the forums, and those discussions seemed to have just died off, and nothing got done about it, but that is what it is. What I expect of my admins on surf is to advertise the site, advertise FT and advertise F7 and what it takes to be in the clan. I also expect them to play, as do I with F7 members (Seems a few aren't doing so well) and keep the peace, but admins are also figure heads. |

And i am not supposed to take people's ideas and form them into something to spark a vote. Discussions happened..it is now up to the discussion starters to start a LEGIT vote to bring about change. And yea i will agree, sometimes i get the forums and server responsibilities mixed up. My responsibilities on the forums havent changed, and as far as server related stuff is concerned, i do what i can when i can. |

Just moved up to school, got to play with Alex the other night and the server was full the entire time. That's all I've been able to play. The people are there, they'll come. Like Jesus said, people will comr bak for the atmosphere. That's why we've all come back. This game isn't going away after three weeks. Not everyone has bought it. It's been a week and a half, give it some time. | ||

Been hella busy with work lately and I just moved into a new place which has also sucked up a lot of time. I have been popping on when I can and it looks like I will have a little more time here coming up. | ||
