DON'T raise the % to kick, that would be horrible. The biggest use of the votekicking is for people who are AFK, or speccing for several rounds (prolly AFK) on a full server. Many times we can't even get people to votekick someone whos AFK like this, and raising the % would be ridiculous. I personally think it should remain as is, and in addition some timer should be added to people to get auto kicked when they're AFK. I dont know if it's a mod or what, but I have been on servers that kick you after a few rounds if you're AFK or spectating. I think admins should be as suseptible to votebans and kicks as regular people. If you really think you'd get whatever - 55% - of players to voteban or kick an admin as a joke... well i think that would be QUITE the rare instance. In the case where it is one person leading this "coup", the admin can just kick that person - or report them on the forums for a lengthy ban. In short what i'm saying is, admins =\= gods. If I see an admin speccing with a 24/24 server, and they're obviously AFK because they're not talking, then hell yeah i'm going to votekick. |

I think admins should not be able to be able to get vote banned but they should be able to get kicked. Like alex says (i am not busting ur balls goose), i should be able to votekick goose when he on spec for long periods of times. Banning of admins is retarded b/c how often does that happen but i think the kicking of it b/c they are away or on spec for a long period of time is a good idea. | ||

I thought that admins could not be votebanned or votekicked. At least that's what it used to be like. I don't think the percentage should be raised in case there isn't an admin present, but I think that admins should be immune. Because why should they be votekicked/banned anyways? If they were abusing their power or something, wouldn't they get demoted anyways? | ||

Radical reaction to small incident. I agree on keeping it, assuming an admin will always be there isn't proper. And, in theory, if they are, then they can stop any voteban or votekick abuse that may arise. I also need it to voteban Canoe or Wild, depending on my mood. Gage is a favorite, too. dramedy

I believe that immunity to ban covers voteban as well, and I see no reason why this can't be used on all admins... if a high admin (op, lead admin) wants to ban an admin, they can take their immunity, then ban. | ||

i like what alex had to say. admins should be immune to votebans, but not votekicks. that would eliminate future "mikey B vs Jesus" type situations, but also allow for people to kick a long afk admin who is taking up a player slot. i also agree with his #2 propoasl. i think that we should increase the votes required for a voteban, but leave the votekick the same. a voteban is much more serious and if more people are required to vote, chances for abuse go down significantly. additionally, if a ban is in order, it should be taken up on the forums anyhow. this still allows the players in the server control over potential assclowns, while requiring more of a group consensus. |
