Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.
Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.
Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

I'm looking into purchasing a very cheap laptop for College, because I would literally be using it for Microsoft Word to take notes, maybe do some programming/photoshop on it, and some music, but nothing real major like using it for Counterstrike or anything. I was looking to only spend like $200, but I soon found out that good computers haven't gotten *that cheap yet. (*though they blow away my old computer at only $300... lol) I found an awesome one for $589 on bestbuy, but don't want to spend that much. I built my personalized one on shop.hp.-com, but that was $485, and that's also too much. Obviously I want performance and quality that will last, but I'm only using it for school during school, and I'm not looking to hold on to it for more than 3 years. I just want something cheap that I can bring to class because I can't take handwritten notes because my penmanship is too slow, and I can type just about as fast as someone can talk, perfect for lectures. (or recording when my fingers hurt) Before I got to Ebay and spend $250 on some guy with 66% positive feedback, does anyone have a solution for me? I want to spend less than $300, but will go to $400. My only specifications other than price are 15"+ monitor, 170gb+ HD, at least 2gb of RAM. other than that, I don't really mind. Got anything for me guys? |

Trust me, If you plan on running vista/windows 7 on that thing, get no less than 3GB of ram. I wouldn't worry too much about the HD cause they're cheap/easy enough to replace. I'll tell you right now, at best buy you won't find anything worth buying under 499$. However, you can get some pretty sweet asus's for a good price, and they almost always come with a good graphics card. I think a realistic price range for a decent computer (that you don't build yourself) would be $650 + - 50.

I totally agree with you Toasters, but that's why I have such a low price range. Because I'm not looking for excellent performance in a good video card, I just want this thing to work well enough that I don't get frustrated at it all the time, but not expensive enough where I wasted a lot of money into something I won't be using a lot. I just built a SICK gaming computer at christmas that will last me a few years for performance, this is basically only going to be used for college courses and anytime I won't be able to get on my desktop at home. I don't want to spend $1250 on a laptop for college when I won't be using it as much as other students. I just want an okay computer that will be good enough to play around with, but not expensive enough to hurt my graduation money. Yes, I'm being a jew about this, but by how much I plan on using this thing, I'm trying to budget. |

I don't buy on ebay for the most part anyone under 100% feedback. Laptops sell everyday and it isn't worth getting potentially scammed over

Nice find glitch. I dunno how I forgot about acer. Kd has a good point too: why go full laptop if you already have a gaming computer (and I'm guessing this is mostly for taking notes and doing homework). One the biggest problems I had with my laptop was... I went too big, and I really couldn't bring it to any of my classes. now I'm getting a netbook so I can have a source of internet for class, as well as use it as a terminal to access my home computers in case I need that last minute paper to hand in.

I've come to turns with me being cheap and I've realized I'm retarded. Laptops have gotten less expensive for quality, but not that much, lol. I like that one glitch, thanks. So far I'm looking at that one and the one on Bestbuy for 584. My brother works at Bestbuy so any price decrease and free 4 year warranty would help Aside from Acer, what do you guys think of HP? I am in love with their monitor quality and how well they run. It's all I've been looking at so far, what should I focus on more for who makes the better laptop? I've been looking on Bestbuy all day, and I've realized the one for $584 is a REALLY good deal. Can you guys tell me if anything is wrong with it, because it looks amazing, and better and cheaper than that Acer (plus I could get more discounts and a 4 year warranty free through bestbuy) -[link]- Edited Thu Jul 23 2009, 07:07PM |

My brother works at Bestbuy so any price decrease and free 4 year warranty would help Hate to break it to you, but us best buyers don't get much off of computers at all, you're better off checking the employee accommodations. And as for the warranty, we get 20% off, not free. |
