I got a desktop a long time ago, and 5 months after I got it the video card burnt out, to which they replied after going through like 3 different managers on the help line that my "warranty expired." I got a two year warranty that was purchased with my mom's credit card, sent them the proof, and they never replied back, even after weeks of resending the information. Had to pay out the ass to get the a video card that worked. THAT is why I prefer to not deal with dell, I was screwed. I made this thread to ask for your opinions, so I could conform to what YOU guys thought was the best choice for a laptop. My bad if that is childish. Amped wrote ... Yes. I think two inches wouldn't make a difference for allowing people to see what I'm doing. I'm not hiding anything, I'd literally be taking notes, and if not taking notes, it wouldn't even be opened. I'm respectful during lectures, and even if I have some off days I don't give a shit what people can see. It won't be anything horrible that I'd be afraid of getting "told" on. I've used a laptop much like the HP I'm interested in, and I think I'm going to go with that. It's cheap, has all the qualifications I wanted, and I trust the company. I found a good Acer that I'm also looking at, it's cheaper than the HP and is only slightly not as good (spec wise), I'll post more questions if I have them but thanks so far guys. |

don't bash refurbs..i got all kinds of good refurb stuff.. and really it has a warranty so you can't really bitch about it..you asked for a shitty computer with a low price and i delivered | ||

get an acer aspire. $300 bucks. idk how photoshop would run but everything else would be great. my dad has one and i used it all last weekend on the road and was awesome. highly reccommended | ||
