Okay there’s all this talk about demos and shit I want to make one but I don’t know what I’m doing I was told about the CS demo shit where you go into console and type record “name†and I did that it said that it was recording, okay that’s cool I typed stop… it said recoding has been stopped.
When I go into my cstrike folder I see the videos/demos it is marked as a DEM file or hl2… when I try to play the demo it won’t let me and it says some stuff.
What must I do to fix this? And is there another way to record demos? Also I want to add music and other shit what do I need to do this? |

Just play then in with counter strike, easiest way to do it. If that doesn't work, email them i guess. | ||

good question kali. i was wondering if i could use DEMO's to record shit instead of FRAPs since fraps cuts my fps in half and it makes my movie quality look like shit. need it to make my counterstrike movie. just curious. how long does the demo last. | ||

Dude, fraps only records for 30 secs that’s no where near the time I need for a demo. Yea when you make a demo with CS though console its long but I cant get it to play on the website I can only watch it from CS:S by going into console and typing playdemo “name†|

If you use the CS console to record and play demos, then thats groovy. If you want to post demos on the site, you gotta upload the .dem file via RapidShare -[link]- or some other site and be sure to post a link to it in forums so that those who are interested may download the file and open it via console independantly. BUTTSECKS!! | ||
