Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

yea tell me wat pc model u have so we all can see how much max RAM your motherboard can hold. or tell us the motherboard model. then we can see wat kind of RAM you can use... but you may need similar RAM to the ones u already have unless u r replacing all of them.. and if you want all together 4 gig sticks then ur looking at $300 possibly or more.. depending on the brand. 2 gig sticks is only about $150 - $200. give us some more info!! | ||

that Dell PC is an amazing system.. but i ahve everything against company made computers since they tend to overprice there models. Dell said "We offer this loaded system at a reasonable price of $2999." BULLSHIT! i can build the same computer for probably around $1800 give or take a few hundred. Dell is a peice of shit.. i dotn want to bring u down emerican but i hate dell with all my heart. Long story. BUT! they also like ot overprice there parts as well. -[link]- theres yoru RAM. if you want upgrade your ram u need to use the same RAM they used in the system. Or you replace all of them. Its not goot o mix RAM types even if they are same speed and shit. Those prices r way overpriced. $150-$200 for one gig stick? wtf is that shit -[link]- look at the second link. look at the twinx RAM. $236 for 2gigs and dell wants to charge 200 for 1 gig... but the second link u cant use because its not your RAM type. buy it from dell. if you want to take a chance an mix match RAM which may not hurt. i wouldnt but you could. worse that can happen is youll have to send it back, you can try these -[link]- its the same RAM Dell uses for the system... but different brand. 2 gigs at a $250 value. Its PC2-4200.. didnt notice that, so thats why its a lil more expensive. i thought it was PC-4200. Anywayz, if anyone else has mixmatched RAM Brand and no problems let him know so he can save some money. Edited Sat Jan 13 2007, 11:43PM |

oh and this is important since your PC has duel channel capabilities. You have 4 slots. two of which are being used already. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 1 2 3 4 The RAM u have when u got the system u want to put in slots 2 and 4 The new ram u buy u want to put in slots 1 and 3. Because of duel channel, ur PC will run a lil faster. Put matching RAM in 1 and 3 and 2 and 4. Slot 1 should have 1024mb RAM Stick Slot 2 should have 512mb RAM Stick Slot 3 should have 1024mb RAM Stick Slot 4 should have 512mb RAM Stick When the time comes, and u are confused, just xfire me and ill walk you through it.
