Hahaha...i had to remake my acct altogether. It sucked. but its not a big deal. I will have 30 posts LOOOONG before i have 100 hrs...Im in no hurry, i found the clan i want to join and im sticking aroun as long as it takes... | ||

No one gave a shit the last time it happened and apparently no one cares now. So they were auto-pruned and "it happens?" Backups happen. I backup the pstats and hlstatsx on FTC every night and hang onto backups for weeks. If something shits the bed then I've got a backup to revert to, and the worst case scenario is that we lose a day or so worth of data. If I can find the exact point the pstats or hlstatsx failed (and have the original server logs, which are kept for several weeks) then I can actually do a near seamless recreation of pstats and hlstatsx data in the event of a database problem. I know the backup circumstances are different for this site, but they can't be too far different that we have to trade hundreds (maybe over a thousand posts when you consider what long-time members like Aborted, Goose, and myself lost) just to compensate for four days of lost content. Maybe I'm just nostalgic, but when I want to look at the epic discussion about offensive sprays that took place on the FTC forum last Spring and can't find it... I feel a bit cheated. When I look for, and can't find, the seventeen metric shit-tons of effort that many of people put into the discussion and formation of the community FT system almost a year ago... I feel greatly cheated. You get the idea if you were here a year ago. If not, then you're missing out on some classic FT lore. Maybe I'm retarded and can't find this lost content, and I'm willing to eat crow if someone can show me that it exists. Otherwise, I'm bitter that much of our discussion has been lost, and I see no reason why losing forum contributions will not be a common event in the future. Utter disgust. Alex does have a point I think that all our forum post/thread should be backed up I mean Kremit always says that he is here to make sure the site stays running and smooth backing up all the forums and threads would be the smart and intelligent thing to do but if people are to lazy to do this stuff then someone should take this reasonability or we should fuck this site 3 days from Sunday. Also I don’t have as many posts as Alex or some other people but I do have enough to say that if I lost 100 or 50 it makes a big impact on the count so I would be PIST. I would also like to point out that there has been a lot of rumors on how this happened and I think the person who did this so called prune should make an apology or so hey I fucked up and I’m sorry I also think that Kremit should not let this go I think he should look at how things are being done and make some fixing or decisions As far as being mad or pissed I’m made that we are a so called clan that lets shit like this happen and we don’t really care. The people who make long and knowledgeable posts deserver an apology or something sure the posts might have been fixed but that’s not the point the point is that it happened not once but fucking two times so we or someone needs to do something! Please PS: Leave the Goddamn prune button alone!!!!!!!! |
