It's cheap because it's not better then the 8800s and such. Just because it has a bigger number doesn't mean it's better. It's still a really good card, I almost bought one, but decided not to get a new card yet. |

the 9600 is shitty.. thats why its cheap.. get an 8800 GTS with the G92 core. there are much better mobos out there.. go with the Asus P5N-T Deluxe... its basicly the Striker 2 without the retarded price. Tons of options and you can OC without touching your FSB... <3 this mobo. Ram go with Crucial Ballistix. Its bad ass ram. the 800 mhz standard can go well over 1000 mhz. |

omni put it well. I suggested the 8800 GTS with the G92 because its relatively cheap for what you get. You can get cheaper cards but you can also get an ATI x700 for 50$... going to get that now? The best thing to do is buy what will last you. |

That card is good. For fuck sake... i am running a 7600GT and im gettin good stuff out of it for CS. That 9600 is WAAAAAY better then what i got. But the 9600's were made for SLI. You can use them single card.. but two 9600's SLI is rated at 90% better then one 8800GTS... which means that if you SLI both those series... the 9600SLI would run only 20% lower in performance then the two 8800's SLI. I say go with the 9600. cant go wrong with it. But go with EVGA or XFX |
