Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Ruskiy Soldat wrote ... I hate people who stand at the redlights and ask for money when they have cigarette in their hand and are fairly dressed, like wtf... why cant they fucking work in mcds or something and make some money, that shit pisses me off and also people that are on wellfare for no reason they dont work just because they are fucking lazy. Im being very honest its so easy to get money in this country if you have a goal in life you can acomplish anything in this country but there are lazy motherfucking people that are bringing this country down. 100% correct and prolly the smartest thing you said thus far. Phate wrote ... I don't care how bad the economy is, if your a brick layer and you can't find work laying bricks work at wal-mart until you can. Welfare should really only be a bridging program to help BETWEEN jobs.. not a substitute for them. I agree with you completely Glitch except that i believe safeguards are the answer not abolishment. Your right. There are other cases besides injury. Shit just happens. I like your ideas. |

Money comes and money goes. I'm wicked poor and I work 40+ hours a week over the summer, and when I'm at school, I work on campus for as many hours as they'll let me. Which is like 10-15 a week, also taking over a 50% pay cut. I don't qualify for welfare, or unemployment because I am a student/dependent. I'm for higher taxes for the rich because I am a little under middle class myself and my family is middle class. We will remain the same for taxes, a little higher, but we can still live. And when I make it rich, I will not mind paying more in taxes to help support people who are strugling, unable to work (for what ever legit reason, including a drug dependency, even though I don't agree with it) and even the few who are milking the system. What I would really like to see though is, like Canada, a stricter regulation on welfare, and not as many fuck ups with the system. I also believe one of the biggest things needed in this country is a better health care system. I'm not saying free, just better. Make forms of health care even the extreme poor could receive because no one deserves to be left without medical help, no matter what they have done in their life. It's just not human to wish that upon someone. Also, we need more drinking in the country. Make the drinking age 18 for people born in 2010, and before that is 21, gives time for these kids to grow up in an environment that drinking isn't as much binge (like the rest of the world). And at least decriminalize pot. Also, I'm drunk. |

Glitch, i still like you, but your remarks in this thread have made my respect for you drop. At least from how i understand them currently. Let's brake some of them down shall we, and if i'm wrong please let me know and i'll apologize.People blame bush.... people blame the republicans... BTW, majority of congress are democrat liberals. Fact. For someone who throws around the word "fact" a lot you don't seem to have many. You are blaming liberals and democrats for everything saying that they have control of congress and that there is a "checks and balances". There are only two facts in your argument; 1, there is a system of checks and balances and 2, the democrats do now have a slim majority in the senate. Where you are very mistaken is that they have not controlled congress during this atrocious presidency. Republicans did, hence the blame. A victory by Webb would put the new Senate lineup at 49 Democrats, 49 Republicans and two independents -- Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Joe Lieberman of Connecticut -- who have said they would caucus with the Democrats. This is from 2006. The republicans also had control of the senate for a good portion of the '90s and control of the house for almost 2 decades. DEMOCRATS MAY WIN CONGRESS; Party Has the Best Chance in Fifteen Years to Control the House.-[link]- So while you blame the "liberal" and democratic congress for not stepping in and doing their jobs and saying we don't know how the system works, your actually just shouting your own ignorance. The other problem is that you seem to expect that since the democrats now have a slim majority in the senate that they have the power to turn this around so it must be their fault. Again, untrue. Along with that system of checks and balances there is something called a veto. And since the egotistical jackass still in the presidency wants things his way and his way only most of the time, anything they do manage to pass through a republican house is usually vetoed. And don't bring up the senate ability to override a veto, that requires a 2/3s majority and the democrats are not even close to that even after 2 more years on gaining some seats. So again you can't try to lay all the blame on democrats for not doing their job in congress. Now don't get me wrong, I don't approve of most of the members of congress from either side. In fact while i hate the national republican theme of what they have been doing some of the only politicians i actually like and believe are doing a good job are republican. Even if only by name. |

The House controls economic bills. The Democrats control congress. The economy sucks. Droid, you are saying that 2 + 2 = X, where X stands for everything you said makes no sense.

Oh, and it's really cool that Pelosi arbitrarily keeps the bill allowing offshore drilling out of congress all summer, then intervenes for vacation, then returns to arbitrarily keep the bill out of congress, just because she has no control over her party, who want to vote for it.

actually bandito the economic problems were not caused by recent bills. Also your veto statistic means nothing as far as undoing my argument because the REPUBLICANS controlled congress (both the house and senate) for the bulk of Bush's presidency and they passed all of his bills. So of course he did not veto them. And as for your 2+2 argument, it proves my point thanks. The house does control economic bills, and the republicans still control the house as they have for the past 15 years. The democrats NARROWLY control the SENATE not all of congress. k thx bye.
