Anyone know anything about car speakers? i was looking to put new ones in my car because all 4 stock speakers are blown now. it's not a nice car (1999 grand am ge) so i'm not looking to put uber nice shit into nor am i looking to spend much money. i do need to know what to look for though and how to tell the difference between good and shit speakers. i'm honestly only looking to spend under $200 and preferably not even that much lol. i know the sizes are 4x6 and 6x9. other than that i am clueless |

If you want okay speakers, go to best buy. they will have your sizes and can install them for you too. Boss is a good brand. Its not over the top amazing, but its not a shitty speaker thats going to blow in a month. | ||

Well like ktulu said I have boss speakers in my car and they are midline speakers. The store doesn't matter just compare stores to make sure ya know? | ||

Not bose you fuckheads. BOSS AUDIO. If the thread title is something you know nothing about don't post. I'm ordering these -[link]- in 10" with a polk 6"1/2 tweeter combo. probably going to get a 7/10 band eq and signal processor if they don't sound bad. I have pioneer 6 3/4" in right now and they sound like a big dick in my ear, especially at high speed. Don't undersell soundproofing your car. If you spend $100 like for some good soundproofing material (fatflat or flattit i dont remember) you're going to get more benefit than spending $150 on speakers your car is drowning out anyway plus your car will ride closer to a bentley than any of your other friend's gay loud cars. it's a fucking 99 grand am se i say again, all i want is some decent speakers no way in hell am i spending $100 on soundproofing i'd really like to spend like $150 for everything cause one of my friends can install them |
