Well, I'm off to band camp tomorrow, until Thursday. I'm anticipating some interesting comments and remarks, so I'll make an attempt now to explain. I play in drumline. I play bass 5, the biggest drum, and the heaviest instrument in the band. I am by no means a band geek. For the most part, I am high/drunk/both at marching band rehearsal. Band camp for a competitive marching band is not what most people think it is. It's basically hell on earth. Standing out in the hot sun with a fucking huge ass drum on, surrounded by band geeks(except my fellow drummers), for about 4 hours at a time. To make it even worse, I am constantly bombarded with empty threats from the staff about my behavior, sarcastic comments, and failure to respect authority. (Maybe if they weren't a bunch of fuckholes...) Too bad they can't kick me out, considering the drumline is already far too small. Anyway, I'm gonna go enjoy hell. I'll be back Thursday.
