Yes, I agree with Wu, KOTOR is an amazing game. I REALLY love the original 3 star wars, with its old school special effects, excellent acting, etc., the new ones are way too flashy imo, with all their digital effects and junk. Still good plot, but...original three are my fav. I read a SW book once...I think I bought it years ago at an elementary school book fair...I'll have to go find it...It was pretty good. |

I don't like the new movies, well the third one was good. The classics should have just been left alone since I've watched every one of them over a combined 200 times. And that is literal, too. Ever since I've been growing up, I've been a Star Wars fan. Nonetheless, also a Trekkie too. I don't like the new ones that much considering they add in some cheap animations. I liked the shitty non computer generated graphics because they make the movies fun. Even though they can be quite cheesy in some parts, it certainly looks better then the new movies. The first new Star Wars was awful. It ruined it in every way. Pod racing? Come on. Jar Jar Binks? He's the fucking most fruitiest character I know in Star Wars. Now because of the old ones, I have a large collection of some Star Wars figures and I have alot of the games. I have Republican Commando, Jedi Academy, Jedi Knight 2, Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2, and I have all of the movies. So Omni, you're not the only Star Wars nerd here. I love the movies, love George Lucas, and everything that the older ones put out for us. They completely redefined movies when they were released. Star Wars ftw. |

i have an original golden edition VHS trilogy package lol. episode 4 5 6. i have to say that the series is awsome. when hbo or cinemax or watever it was played that star wars marathon for like 4 days in a row i watche dthem all day long over and over.. lol im sure omni did the same. episodes 1 2 3 4 5 6 all amazing. i liek the old ones because they are awsome and will always be ORIGINAL. and the new ones i like as well because its different and brings a whole new perspective to the series. i dont play the games. Never did like them for some reason. Oh, and i have to say i almost cried at the end of episode 3 when Anakin turned to the dark side and shit. and his wife died and shit. very sad..lol anyways. The books were out way longer then the movies. the movies are based on the books if im correct. AND im sure omni can correct me if im wrong, that the books go to episodes 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9. there are 3 trilogies to the series. not entirely sure. but yes overall i think George Lucas is an amazing director/producer with an awsome imagination. And amazing passion towards what he enjoys to create. |

I like Star Wars too its sooo much better than Star Trek but anyways I just wanted to clear up the fact that the first three movies that were made were episodes 4,5,6 just wanted to clear that up because some people do not seem to know that | ||

i do my best to keep current in the games but it is hard b/c so many of them suck ass. not the ideas or concepts but the actual game play....i tried republic commando and i donno, it is all a blurr, i think it sucked, very linear, poor GFX (or my rig sucks). what do you guys think of the games, use specific examples. what ones did you like, dislike, never try?
i personally live the battlefront series but it still needs moderate tweaking. the worst thing about BF2(battlefront 2) was that they removed the Bespin levels, platforms and cloud city i believe.
i want to try the Jedi knight series, tell em about them, Jedi academy do you pay for monthly?
KOTOR was beautiful bio-ware is awesome.
what about Empire at War (and exp pack) i hear they got Thrawn in the exp. pack!

n e news you all have heard about the future of Star Wars? i got word of a at this point, untitled TV series in '07 or '08 about "minor characters" in the 20 year gap between III and IV. the series would be a live action HD filmed in Marin and Australia(sp).
i want Mr. Lucas to make movies out of the books or write more movies. that would make me the ULTIMATE HAPPIEST PERSON EVER. you dont want to know what i would do if he made more movies....im serious too.

ur my hero...i think i did cry. i still hear the echo of Anakin's/Vader's words on Mustafar after Obi-Wan severed his limbs "I HATE YOU" soooooo authentic best acting ever and that whole scene...the SFX, the music, the actions...omg BEAUTIFUL!!
i like the quote in my sig too. he had soo much emotion and detication in it. super actor!!

the portrayal of Padme is great, she even looks like her daughter, Leia...gorgeous

ur pretty damn close, but the new Jedi order series is not the same to me. BUT Ive not read any of it yet. the clone war novels are my Fav atm. Labyrinth of evil...good book, the Rise of Lord Vader i cant stress enough. read it! my fav Jedi, well one of my top fav Jedi is in it. Roan Shryne (that is where one of my names comes from).
there might more after IX but i donno, haven't read that far yet.

Well to me, I think the best out of the games was the Jedi Knight series and Academy, for the PC. Except for some minor flaws and some bugs in the level, I loved online saber fighting and if you will. I got pretty good at the game. Although there were some people that had to make the game shit, it was easy in most servers because they had admins to get rid of them. After a while, it got to be the best of my games. I like the Battlefront series also, really the first one better then the second one. The second one, when you went Ewok hunting, they raped my soul. Once, I had 51 kills with 3 deaths and we still lost. Some of the elements in the game were alot harder then the first one. Nevertheless, they both were fun. I wish they would come out with a game where you could have space fights online and what not. They had that in Rogue Squad Leader (In which I forgot to add in games that I own). The one for Gamecube was okay, but the one that they had originally released for the N64 was fucking amazing. I wish that they would make more of them, maybe even one for the PC. I haven't got a chance to play Galaxies, the MMO for the Star Wars saga. I think I bought a copy of it before but I never had the chance to really play it. Eventually, it just sat on my computer desk, and I just took it back because I didn't want to pay the online fee on top of that. I do look foreward to giving the game a chance. I liked the third new Star Wars, well because the acting wasn't that shitty. The movie was very well done and some of the fight scenes fucking rocked. The ending was very dramatic and good. Most of my fellow Star Wars fans thought that the new one was better then all of them, but I still keep my old Star Wars movie love. My personal favorite is Return of the Jedi, best saber fights, best air fights, best Hans Solo kicking ass (Which I might add that Hans is my favorite Star Wars character.) My favorite new movie character definetely had to be Mace Windu, which I'm pissed at the way he died, he just have just sabered the fuck out of the emporer. I wish they could bring back some of that old movie love, and I wish there was room for more Star Wars with some new characters that don't suck. But in order to do that, you'd have to go after the days pansee Luke made everything all better. Yes, Luke is a huge pansee, and is my least liked character out of all of them. Pansee. Well okay, I'm done ranting on about Star Wars's uberness. I'm pretty sure Omni has said the rest about it's greatness. Star Wars lives on w00t! |

AND padme really did look a lot like her daughter, which technically was about 25 years before her time lol. and the acting on Mustafar... god i dont think i have ever seen better acting then that in my whole life. the intensity and passion that they put into those seens. and yes "You will try" i was like ooooohhh shiiitt! lol Omni u have good taste in movies. be my life partner please. |
