ok man, i like the song, but the main background music for the whole thing... ive heard in another song. i think by DJ encore or something similar... i dont mean to hate but im pretty sure a major part of that song has all ready been produced, sold, and copyrighted. My freind has it downloaded or something and ima see if its the same one, and if it is ill post it... Otherwise, nicely put together and some of the background effects r nice as well. P.S. Its hard to make your own techno because there r only so many variations of notes you could put together. My freind is almost a professional artist with those programs and shit, and he has made up quite a few nice songs, which later i ended up hearing in new techno/trance albums...lol then i here from him "FUCK THAT! I was actually wondering if you sampled all that yourself, because if you did I was going to ask if you had perfect pitch. Considering I don't know you to be a musician (you might be), that would be pretty remarkable if you wrote those little keyboard synth licks yourself. @ Glitch: Today's music standards were basically invented by J.S. Bach. Any chord progression that you'll ever hear in pop music will be what's called a I-IV-V, or a ii-V-i, or a I-V-vi-IV. (Those all refer to the chords in a major scale...all a bit technical if you're not a musician). As such, an "original" composition is basically impossible. What gives a piece its personality is experimentation in different rhythms and melodic lines. Listen to 10 pop songs, I guarantee at least 7 of them will sound exactly alike in background music. You're friend's right, it is difficult to give your piece a unique but likable sound. It is possible though, much easier for some then others. I know people that can pull melodies out of air, and others that try but fail pretty much every time. I don't know what my point is here. Goodnight. |
