Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

My 1987 Buick is dying on me. I need a new car. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking at leasing right now, so something in the area of $200/month would be nice, as i'm in college and thus po po. Here is some rationale for my top options: Mazda 3 - sporty, pretty cheap, and for some reason i think mazdas are pretty well made cars. Probably my top choice, ill be test driving tonight hopefully Saturn Ion - Saturns are very reliable, which is attractive, and this is a nice size car for me Wait for Saturn Astra - It looks okay. Not my #1 choice, but will likely be a nice car VW Jetta - I've been hearing bad things about VW lately, I always thought this was a solid choice though Chrysler Sebring - Definitely one of the only convertibles you can get in Michigan and drive in winter But i'm VERY open to other cars at this point, im not a car guy so anything you guys want to add be my guest! DO NOT LEASE!! If you're looking for a car when you're in college, LEASING IS NOT THE OPTION! Especially if you have to get back and fourth to work while you're doing it and such. Leasing has limits on your miles when you return it, and lets say if you wreck it while you're leasing it you're fucked. If you go over the miles then you have to pay more. Do not lease a car, seriously. It's the biggest mistake you can make.

Yea, don't lease. Buy a 1 to 2 year old car b/c they depreciate soo much one u drive them off the lot. Get the mazda three, nicest car you have up there. Other car i would suggest is a viper .

hmm. well i'm not worried about mileage at all. Its 170 miles to get to my school, not terrible, and my first semester I have no need to even DRIVE it for school purposes - all my classes will be on our main campus. Not to mention I don't work while at school. My only driving will be errands, hanging out with people, etc. So I dont think going over mileage will be an option. I'll look at the certified used 3's, but my dad did the math, as all engineers tend to do, and came up that leasing is about an extra 20 bucks a month or something compared to buying, and the bonus is a new car every 3 years. Also buying, i'll get raped on the interest i'm sure, I can't pay it all at once which is whati'd LIKE to do if I ever bought a car. I'm headed to the dealership now so i'll see what they say. I work at a stealership and trust me you would rather buy a car rather then lease especially for how far you drive. Leasing is only a good option if you own a business and also the cars you are choosing depreciate in value pretty fast. Edited Mon Jun 04 2007, 11:49PM
