My comp used to be the allmighy new computer-fast, and alot better then other peoples. Not so much lately. It seems as my RAM is just being drained, because with only a few programs open my computer is slow as fuck. I used to be able to do exactly what i do now, but alot faster. I could have listened to music, had firefox open, and had xfire open and be playing css and it would be able to minimize and maximize without problem. now i try doing the same thing and my css freezes/crashes, as well as freezes my computer, which makes me have to turn it off. I have tried everything. I run virus scans every day, i defragment every day, and i uninstalled a bunch of games my sister doesnt play anymore. I have 65 gigs of 140 gigs open, so i have relatively alot of space. I want to know, what the fuck is up? I am sick of the constant freezes, and i want my computer fast again. |

Heres a thought...stop looking at porn! anyway...Seriously Emerican the only thing I would tell you to do is reformat. besides that look at programs running in the background and see if you can shut the non essintial ones off Edited Sat Sep 09 2006, 03:42AM |

It looks as though a malicious hacker is actually draining your RAM for use in his own computer. You're going to have to get a new plug for your e-drain. In all seriousness though... yeah, reformat. |

Ummm...all I gotta say is that if your computer is just running really really slow it might just be that you have tons of spyware and adware on there...so yea get a program like adaware or something and get rid of it and if that doesnt help then i would reformat and if that doesn't help then I would just get a new computer hope this helps peace |

I AM NOT REFORMATTING! I want to but my dad thinks i know nothing about anything on the comp (and i dont wanna fuck it up myself) I have adaware, spybot search and destroy, trend mirco, and mcafee. |

Ok well do you have a firewall on your computer because if you have no spyware or adware then like amped said it might be a hacker...I wish that everybody would just have ZoneAlarm Security Suite like me then you wouldn't have these problems because it is a triple layer firewall with built in spyware and virus protection among other things...other than this stuff without anything but what you have said i cant help you anymore than this peace |

Mcaffe firewall isn't as good as mine mine actually blocks people from being able to see my computer and stuff and it is triple layer for extra protection you should try it its great and for everybody out there who doesn't use much in the way of virus scan programs and firewalls i would recommend this program too because it is awesome | ||
