Ok, so I added some new maps to surf, But people are claiming that they are having trouble downloading the maps. They get the error message: "Missing File" on the loading screen. I Updated maplist.txt and votemap.txt (along with uploading the maps to the server in the maps folder), so I don't know what could be causing this. I instant messaged wildcard to see what the problem was, but found out he was having the same problem on FTZI. Anyone know what is going on here? P.S. I had no trouble switching to the new maps. But then again, I already had them, so I didn't have to download. |

Agreed. I've put maps on the FTZI server and people couldn't download it. Got the same error message. But if the map they were fine. I'm interested to see what other ops have to say on this also. | ||

Make sure you uploaded any .vtf, files if there are any. | ||

Nope, maps only had the .bsp files. (.vtf is the file that is usable in hammer, not needed to run on a server. something like a .txt or .nav would be necessary) | ||

What i do is i just go and search for them either on FT site or on other sites and download them manually cause steam is retarded sometimes. | ||

My best guess toasters is that we just started using fast DL on Surf. I know Kremit couldn't have uploaded those new maps, so that might cause the conflict? | ||
