The Hellbusters: It's just Todd Mauldin on guitar, and the Jack D. Doyle III Esq. Jr. on harp and stomp box.

But will you like us? Of course we believe you will. But we're not for everybody.

Our exhaustive performance research has suggested the following guidelines as a primer to our music: some blues purists are like us ("raw", "juke joint", "rough", "porch music") and some are confused by us ("too loud", "too nasty", "too raw", "no bass player? no drummer?"), roots music enthusiasts like us ("hard", "rough", "reminds me of loud blues porch music", "lots of major chords", "real", "honest", "simple") and alt-punk/alt-country/biker/outlaw fans seem to love us ("reminds me of 'Black Keys', or 'White Stripes', or 'Flat Duo Jets', or 'George Thorogood', or sometimes 'Hank Williams III' or 'Johnny Cash', and occasionally fans compare us to 'Reverend Horton Heat', or the artists that were popular on Fat Possum back in the mid-'90s).

We say we play our own brand of Mississippi Hill Country-inspired blues music as honestly as we can interpret it. Our shows are fun and funny, hard and fast, soulful and sinful. Stylistically, call it "R.L. Burnside meets George Thorogood in a dark alley, just as Henry Rollins walks up with Kim Wilson, and somebody starts counting off ...".
