The current rule for spawn attacking is that both the victim and the attacker must have hit the first ramp in the map before the victim is attacked. I would like to change this rule and make it so that EITHER Both the victim and the attacker must have hit the ramp AND five seconds has passed OR Both the victim and the attacker must have left the first ramp (to stop people from immediately knifing others) Please discuss and let me know what you guys think. |

i say that nobody should be able to kill on first ramp. its pretty much spawn killing in my oppinion, i want other players to live longer than 2 secs in the round

So, no one can kill anyone after they leave spawn until after you're off the first ramp, no name? I guess I'll just camp the first ramp the whole round, k? People like the rule how it is, thats why they play here. Most people don't want to wait until they leave the first fucking ramp to get kills, it's just going to lower the traffic in the server. kevin wrote ... Most people go pretty fast on it... Also, this rule would be hard to enforce. Some people already have trouble catching everyone who spawn attacks, now we have to count to 5 while doing it? kd made a few good points, but I agree with kev - waiting like 3 minutes sucks ass when you get knifed on the first ramp. If you've noticed, a lot of the time people whine about people taking so long to finish up the round and ask admins to slay people -- if they hadn't died so early they might not whine so much (and they might be happier <3) I don't know - I'd like to hear more opinions on this. Currently, I'm in favor of the second ramp rule... I agree that it would be difficult to enforce for a WHILE. But after a bit people would get used to the rules and would know not to do it. (just as spawn jumping is not enforced on many surf servers... our server got past that and enforced it just fine) |

With this, the admins would have even more trouble catching them though. They would have to always be watching the first ramp, and sometimes the first ramp stretches out of view. | ||
